About us

We are an evangelical church

We are a community of people who recognize Jesus-Christ as our personal Savior and who desire to put His teaching into practice.

Doctrinally, we are descendants of the 16th century Protestant Reform and thus, we recognize the Bible as the Word of God for all mankind. The Gospel asks each one to recognize his/her need of God, to receive forgiveness of sin that Christ has made possible through a personal relationship with him.

Our identity is based on 3 principles:

Scripture only: the Bible, Word of God, is the basis of our faith.

Grace only: in Jesus-Christ, God offers forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

Faith only: God offers salvation. Man receives it by faith. One is not born Christian but becomes Christian by a personal committment to Jesus-Christ. (i.e. putting one’s faith completely in what He did for us on cross).

Our history

In the beginning, a few people met at the Gordon and Avril Margery's house.

In October 1978, services were held in the Centre Social de Belleville, a municipal building.

In Easter 1979, the Church celebrated its first baptisms. That date is considered as the birth of the Church.

In December 1981, the church began services at the 25, Rue Marcel Sembat, where we still meet today. The Church is a member of France-Mission (France-Mission is a member of the Fédération Evangélique de France or FEF).

Services and Meetings

Sunday morning services: every Sunday either at 10H30 at Church or a a local community center. See the calendar for details

Sunday school : every Sunday from 10.00 to 11.00 a.m, during the service (but not during school holidays)

Bible study and prayer meetings:

• Tuesday at 8.15 pm, in the town of Acigné every week
• Wednesday at 7 pm, at chruch, every week
• Wednesday at 8 pm, in Rennes (at la Poterie), every week
• thursday, in the town of Bruz, every fortnight
• Friday, in the town of Monterfil, every fortnight

Prayer meeting with the whole church: Last friday of each month at 8 pm unless stated otherwise in the calendar
